Hi, I'm Sophie.

I created Moonface because I needed fun, expressive, joyful fashion that was ethical and produced using sustainable materials and practices. It didn't exist anywhere else so I decide to make it for all of us.

Moonface is a luxury, artisanal, independent fashion label and I created it because I have a deep commitment to innovation in the areas of sustainability and ethical production.  I create collections made from organic and sustainable fabrics in lush colours with unique, vibrant prints made from my own original artworks. I also sell my art as fine art prints.

 I am currently living in a van with my partner Alex and 5 year old Daughter Forest as we travel around Australia.  I am running this business from the road at the moment so please forgive any email delays - I will get back to you as soon as I can!  You can follow along our journey on instagram at @moonface.clothing

From our van I design and sample my unique, limited-edition garments. Lovingly created with hand drawn and painted designs which my highly skilled team of artisans in Bali then produce in limited numbers. All of my garments are ethically made in a way that is as environmentally responsible as possible. I work hard to ensure the health and safety of everyone in my supply chain and the health of the environment by keeping our impact as small as possible. My Mission

My mission is to create ethical, sustainable clothing at accessible prices.  I do this by taking the approach of Slow, limited edition Fashion.  I carefully consider the processes and resources required to create quality garments that will last longer, age well and hopefully become treasured possessions.  I take care to use the most sustainable options of fabrics that are available to me and am intentional when selecting my manufacturers - choosing to produce my garments in small, family owned and run workshops which not only have very high quality craftsmanship but also share my values and ethics to ensure that everyone in my supply chain is treated fairly.  I am constantly researching and upgrading my materials and methods striving to reduce my carbon footprint with every collection.  I produce my clothing in small runs to minimise wastage.  Finally, I only sell my clothing through my website, which allows me to avoid any additional markups by selling directly to you, my customer. 

Moonface is a small business with goals that reach high beyond my self-funded means.  This means that I can’t always stock a large size range and have everything available all the time, so please be patient with me.  But also, please let me know what you would like to see more of. I am always trying to improve my business for you, and I would love to hear any feedback you have to offer me.
